Pinning your location
In the business form, select your country, type your address and click Find from address. Drag the pin to your exact entrance. On a mobile device you can use My location.
How verification works
- Address match: your address is geocoded; it passes if it is within 400 m of the pin.
- Google Maps match: the coordinates in your Google Maps link pass if within 200 m of the pin.
If either check passes, your business gets a Location verified badge. Changing location details resets verification.
Where location data is published
| Source | Content |
|---|---|
| JSON-LD | geo, hasMap, verification property |
/api/v1/businesses/{slug}/location | Coordinates, map links, verification method and date |
/businesses.geojson, /businesses.kml | Location feed of all businesses (Google Earth compatible) |
| business.md, llms.txt | Coordinates and verification status |
Note: your listing on Google Maps itself can only be managed through Google Business Profile. Kieosa provides a verified, consistent location source that Google and AI assistants crawl.
