Structured data: Schema.org and JSON-LD

What the structured data Kieosa generates contains and how to use it on your own site.

What is Schema.org?

Schema.org is a vocabulary created jointly by Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Yandex. It tells machines what the information on a page is: this is a restaurant, this is its address, these are its hours.

Example output

{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@graph": [{
    "@type": "Dentist",
    "name": "Örnek Dental Clinic",
    "telephone": "+90 224 000 00 00",
    "address": { "@type": "PostalAddress", "addressLocality": "Nilüfer", "addressRegion": "Bursa", "addressCountry": "TR" },
    "geo": { "@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": 40.21, "longitude": 28.98 },
    "openingHoursSpecification": [ … ]
  }, {
    "@type": "FAQPage",
    "mainEntity": [ … ]
  }]
}

Your category sets the schema type: Dentist for a dental clinic, CafeOrCoffeeShop for a café, RealEstateAgent for a real estate office.

Add it to your own site

Copy the JSON-LD from your business's Structured outputs tab and paste it into your website's <head>:

<script type="application/ld+json">
  … code copied from the Kieosa dashboard …
</script>

Then validate it with Google's Rich Results Test.
